A native of the Charlotte, North Carolina suburb of Gastonia, Bruce now lives in the Seattle suburb of Kirkland, Washington. Bruce is a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Communications.
In 1991, he moved to Seattle and began working in the Puget Sound high-tech sector at Egghead Software, Arabesque Software, NetManage, Design Intelligence, and Acumen Associates. Bruce holds certifications as a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS).
As a technical communications professional with more than 15 years technical writing experience, Bruce has produced manuals, online assistance content, videos, training, press releases, and marketing materials. Bruce is employed by Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington as a technical writer and produces help content for Microsoft Outlook 2002, Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, and Outlook 2010 for an audience of more than 500 million people. He currently works on Outlook 15 in the Office Creative group.
An avid technology geek, when not held captive by TiVo HD, Bruce's hobbies include computers, Xbox 360, digital photography, cycling, and genealogy. He is a licensed Amateur Extra class amateur radio operator (KZ7U) and owner of KirklandWeather.com. His website is at BruceKeever.com.
